Descendants of: Levi James McNutt

Sarah F HOPKINS  b. 8 Jan 1839 Campbell Co., GA d. 7 May 1874 Guntown, Itawamba Co., Mississippi
        [daughter of Elisha HOPKINS and Elizabeth Tennent SMITHWICK] is thought to be the Miss. Sarah Hopkins listed on L.J.'s death certificate and the same Sarah Hopkins who is the daughter of Elisha and Elizabeth Hopkins.  James McNutt is listed on the 1870 Federal Census as living with his grandparents Elisha and Elizabeth Hopkins.  We have not found any evidence of L.J. McNutt's father.  It's possable he was killed in the Civil War.
